Vancouver provides something for everyone. The wide variety of cuisines and price points in this city have been said to be a foodie’s delight. If you enjoy Asian food, there are numerous options available, and Vancouver boasts some of the best sushi in the world. In the last couple years the with its successful street food program, dozens of food carts and trucks have appeared all over the downtown area and offer a large selection of delicious eats.

Make your wary across the swaying suspension bridge, which stretches 137 metres (450 feet) across a canyon and the Capilano River 70 metres (230 feet) below. Then explore the beautifully lush fir – and fern – carpeted forests via a series of elevated suspension bridges in the Treetops Adventure, and the thrilling Cliffwalk.
The Vancouver Aquarium is home to over 50,000 fascinating creatures from the Arctic to the Amazon. Be sure to catch daily beluga whale, dolphin and sea otter shows, and for an unforgettable extra try a hands-on animal encounter.
This is one of Vancouver’s most famous attractions and features, and will it should be. It is 1,000 acres (409 hectares) with a number of attractions inside, including the Vancouver Aquarium, the Stanley Park Totem Poles, the Nine O’clock Gun, and many miles / kilometers of trails. A considerable part of the park is preserved forest, through if you look closely at the trees in the park you will see that most are second growth forest and the valuable large trees are cut down long ago.
There is a perimeter trail that runs 5.5 miles / 8.8 km around the water’s edge of the park. This trail system also connects with the bike and walking pathway system in downtown Vancouver. Views from this pathway can provide really good photography opportunities of the downtown Vancouver skyline.
Step aboard one these old-fashioned horse-drawn vehicles and take a relaxed trip through the natural beauty of Stanley Park, Vancouver’s number one attraction.
Gastown is a modern and trendy residential neighborhood with boutiques, tourist shops, restaurants, and clubs. Gastown is a hub for technology and new media. Popular annual events that take place on the cobblestone streets of Gastown include the Vancouver International Jazz Festival and the Global Relay Gastown Grand Prix international bicycle race. Stroyeum presents an hour long show that re-enacted the history of British Columbia using eight sets that were all located below street level.
Gastown’s most famous landmark is the steam-powered clock on the corner of Cambie and Water Street. It was built in 1977 to cover a steam grate, part of Vancouver’s distrusted steam-heating system, as a way to harness the steam and to prevent street people from sleeping on the spot in cold weather.
